ecoMotion has been organized as an international business unit since April 2020, which has also been reflected in the new internal set-up of the SARIA Ingredients & Energy division. Having this global focus since 2020 takes into account that customers in the oil industry are international and that trends in this sector are changing globally.

7 dedicated Working Groups

In this context, Working Groups (WGs) have been established to ensure overarching and continuous communication between the plants and countries to continuously improve the operating activities and financial results. They are structured as follows:

  1. Plant Managers: focus on knowledge sharing and to avoid redundancy in solution findings of mutual challenges.
  2. Technology: focus on knowledge sharing and implementation of best practices.
  3. Quality: focus on exchanging analytical methods, features of feedstock, etc.
  4. Health & Safety: focus on harmonising the H&S.
  5. Production & Process:  focus on the best practices to increase efficiency and process improvements.
  6. Biofuels Sustainability: focus on coordination and implementation of EU and national rules and updating on future biofuels sustainability topics.
  7. Commercial: focus on coordinated market approach and constant screening of feedstock and biofuels developments.

Round Table Meetings

The participants in the WGs are in contact at least once a month, depending on availability and need. In addition, there is a “Round Table Meeting” (RTM) at least once a year, at which all the WGs meet in person. The venue rotates between the ecoMotion locations: Løsning (Denmark), Malchin and Lünen (Germany) and Montmeló (Spain).

Since its launch 7 years ago, the RTM has taken place at the following locations.

This year’s RTM took place on October 7th and 8th in Lünen (Germany). It started with a warm welcome at the plant, where all participants enjoyed a tour of the facilities, followed by working sessions focused on increasing the potential of ecoMotion activities and employees.
